It is very possible you will lose fat (as opposed to just “weight”).
More often than not, when people lose weight they lose both fat and muscle. Muscle loss slows the metabolism. So, even if people temporarily lose weight, the slower metabolism eventually causes people to put all their lost body fat back on – and they end up worse off then when they started!
The key to looking and feeling better is fat loss – not weight loss. And when attempting to lose fat, it is very important to build or preserve muscle in order to keep the metabolism high. And that is what our program does best. Unfortunately, most exercise programs ignore this critical fact.
Applying HIT at the same time as following an appropriate diet will almost assuredly result in a reduction in body fat. Aside from preserving muscle and keeping the metabolism high, HIT utilizes stored energy and releases fat burning hormones.
The all too common but mistaken belief is that the more you exercise the fitter, leaner and healthier you become. But in reality, exercise is something that fatigues or temporarily weakens your body. This in and of itself is not a benefit. Proper RECOVERY from exercise is critical if you want to optimize results. BETWEEN workouts (or during recovery from workouts) your body rebuilds stronger and healthier.
HIT breaks down your muscles cells. This might sound bad but it is actually a very good thing. In the days following your workout, your body will build back your muscle cells bigger and stronger. This leads to increased muscle strength and tone. Not only is working out again too soon unnecessary, it is counterproductive! You could interfere with your body’s “rebuilding” process.
Also, HIT quickly and thoroughly depletes the energy in your muscles. This increases your metabolism for several hours after the workout is over. Not only does this assist with fat loss, but leads to improvements in cardiovascular health that are very comparable to doing hours worth of aerobic exercise.
It is great to be active between HIT workouts. You can play tennis, golf, hike, take yoga classes, etc. But if you don’t want to formally exercise outside of your HIT training you don’t have to. HIT is such a powerful stimulus; it gives you all the benefits of exercise in a very short amount of time.
Most trainees are paying about $50 per workout.
Personal training is typically very expensive. We truly believe our program can make a difference in people’s lives so we are trying our hardest to make it affordable to everyone. We have taken steps in order to keep our pricing as low as possible.
Core training is a part of every workout. We will effectively strengthen and develop the muscles of the core without aggravating any back issues or post pregnancy abdominal issues.
You do not need to be in shape to start our program. We have people who start with us who are in excellent shape and we have people who have never worked out a single day in their lives. It makes very little difference. In the first few workouts we develop a baseline of exercises that we will build upon. It doesn’t matter how strong or experienced you are when you start with us. Whether you are brand new to exercise or a lifelong exercise enthusiast you will see significant improvement on all exercises. And this corresponds with improvement in health, fitness and muscle tone.
Typical results are increased strength, muscle tone and energy. People often see better blood work at the doctor and increased bone density. People often see improvement in athletic performance (increased distance on the golf course, better half marathon times, etc.)
Peoples’ goals vary a little and we always take that into account when developing a training program. So a typical result is somewhat specific to what we were trying to achieve.
